Diablo Cosmetics is a UK beauty brand built around making professional brow shaping and lash lifting accessible for home use – giving customers the ability to achieve salon-standard results without a salon appointment. Their how-to video content is central to their brand communication, and this project involved refreshing an existing product video by introducing new Rouge Oriental footage while preserving the original structure, then expanding its reach with platform-specific versions for TikTok and Snapchat.
Updating an existing video while keeping the retained structural elements – original music timing, captions, and video flow – intact is more complex than rebuilding from scratch. The new footage had to integrate seamlessly: no visible seam where one product era ended and another began, and any shots showing outdated kit in the background identified and removed throughout. The promotional promo section needed eye-catching text transitions and review highlights that felt visually distinct from a specific competitor ad style the client referenced. Three separate output versions – main video, TikTok, and Snapchat – each with their own safe zone and branding specifications – required careful organization throughout the production workflow.
VORTEX.video used the client’s timecodes and detailed notes to identify every section requiring footage replacement, working within the existing Adobe Premiere Pro project structure to swap in the new Rouge Oriental clips precisely while preserving the original music and caption tracks unchanged. The promotional section was built using eye-catching text transition animations created in Adobe After Effects – styled distinctively to differentiate the piece from the competitor format the client wanted to avoid replicating. Review highlight graphics were added to reinforce product credibility. Creative suggestions from VORTEX.video were incorporated for specific visual moments, adding further differentiation. Platform-specific versions were produced from the main edit, with text repositioned into safe zones for TikTok and Snapchat and brand logos removed as specified. All three outputs were delivered ready for direct upload.
The refreshed Diablo Cosmetics video delivered exactly what Daniel described as the goal: a modernized how-to that featured the Rouge Oriental product cleanly and honestly, with the outdated footage removed, the new promotional section integrated smoothly, and platform-ready versions prepared for TikTok and Snapchat.
Brand Alignment: The updated visual treatment brought the how-to video in line with the more current, dynamic aesthetic Diablo Cosmetics was working toward – removing visual references to older product lines and replacing them with fresh footage that presented the brand accurately and attractively.
Platform Coverage: Delivering format-specific versions for TikTok and Snapchat – with text repositioned to safe zones and branding adjusted for each platform’s requirements – gave Daniel publish-ready assets for multiple distribution channels from a single production round.
Production Value: The new teaser-style intro, text transition effects, and review highlights elevated the video from a basic how-to into a more genuinely compelling piece of beauty content – one that could reasonably be placed alongside the higher-production ads that dominate the beauty category on social platforms.
Project Delivery: Multiple rounds of feedback were addressed promptly throughout the project. Daniel’s specific notes on transitions, color matching, text positioning, and branding adjustments were all incorporated accurately into successive versions.
Daniel received the complete Adobe Premiere Pro source files in a ZIP archive at no additional cost, giving Diablo Cosmetics full ownership of the edit and the ability to make future adjustments independently as the brand continues to evolve.
